Prints – Care & Quality Guide

Premium Giclée Prints

Your artwork deserves the best, which is why all my prints are Giclée prints—the gold standard in fine art printing. This process enhances colour vibrancy and detail, resulting in a high-quality, museum-level print with rich tones and exceptional longevity.

Each print is produced using true archival-quality inks on 250gsm Satin Finish FSC® certified paper, ensuring it is both fade-proof and environmentally responsible.

All prints are designed and printed by me in my home studio using my large-format printer, guaranteeing quality control at every stage.

Rolled Posters – Care & Display

When your print arrives, carefully unpackage and unroll it on a clean, dry surface to avoid any damage or marks. To flatten it:

  • Weight Method – Place a few heavy books or flat objects on the corners for several hours or overnight.
  • Gentle Ironing (if needed) – For stubborn wrinkles, cover with a clean cloth and use a low-heat iron, moving lightly to avoid overheating.

Once flattened, framing your print will protect it from dust, moisture, and fingerprints, ensuring its longevity.

Framing & Display Tips

Choose the Right Frame – Opt for a frame that enhances the artwork and your space. Black, gold, or natural wood frames work beautifully with maximalist designs.

Use a Mat (Optional) – A mat border adds a gallery-style effect while keeping the print from touching the glass.

Avoid Direct Sunlight – To prevent fading over time, place your print away from harsh UV exposure.

Creative Display Options – If you prefer a frameless look, consider poster rails, magnetic hangers, or adhesive strips for a modern touch.

Cushion Care Instructions

To keep your cushion looking its best:

✅ Wash at 30°C
✅ Low tumble dry heat
✅ Hang to dry
❌ Do not wring
❌ Do not iron (Soft Velvet fabric is heat-sensitive)

  • Luxurious Piping – Each cushion features 3mm-wide piping for an extra touch of elegance and durability.
  • Exceptional Print Quality – Printed in the UK using advanced dye sublimation, where the ink is fused into the fabric fibres. This means your design remains vibrant and won’t crack, fade, or peel, even after years of washing.
  • Premium Soft Velvet Fabric – A plush, non-stretch, non-wrinkle material with a subtle sheen, making it both chic and cosy. The slightly shorter pile ensures a smooth yet luxurious finish, perfect for any home.

Sustainability & Ethical Manufacturing

I have carefully chosen a UK-based manufacturing partner that prioritises sustainability and ethical production, ensuring that every cushion aligns with my values and commitment to the environment.

  • Made to Order – No excess stock is produced, reducing waste and preventing the destruction of unsold products.
  • Low Water Usage – The manufacturing process uses minimal water, and ink waste is safely disposed of in collaboration with local water boards.
  • Locally Sourced Materials – Where possible, materials are sourced from the UK and EU, with FSC-certified materials ensuring responsible sourcing.

  • Fabric Remnants Reused – Instead of discarding fabric offcuts, they are offered to crafters and DIY-ers to repurpose into creative projects.

Cushion Inserts & Sizing

  • Cushion insert information is available on the product label.
  • Cover-Only Option – If you are buying a cushion cover only, the size is 16” x 16” (40cm x 40cm), allowing you to choose an insert that best suits your preference. Inserts are widely available online and in most home décor stores.

Packaging & Recycling

I am committed to sustainable packaging to ensure your order arrives safely while keeping environmental impact low. Here’s how your items are packaged and how you can recycle them.

Print Packaging

  • A4 & Smaller Prints – Shipped in hardback envelopes that are PEFC certified, meaning they come from responsibly managed forests. These can be recycled with your paper waste.
  • A3 & Larger Prints – Packaged in sturdy postal tubes, designed to protect your artwork during shipping. Both the tube and plastic end caps are 100% recyclable.

💡 Reuse Idea: Postal tubes can be repurposed for storage or craft projects before recycling!

Cushion Packaging

To keep costs affordable and sustainable, cushions are:

  • Wrapped in recyclable tissue paper for a beautiful, eco-conscious unboxing experience.
  • Shipped in poly mailer bags that are:
    ✅ Made from recycled materials
    ✅ Water-resistant & non-transparent for protection
    ✅ Fully recyclable – check local plastic recycling guidelines

💡 Reuse Idea: These durable mailers can be reused for future shipments or storage.
